Crossing Fire & Ice
A Journey Through Iceland with Vandra

A path less paved
In early spring, Ali and Metin set out on a trek across southern Iceland — a place where terrain shifts from lava fields to glacial plains in a single afternoon. Their goal: to reach the edges of Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier, carrying Metins 1-year-old daughter with them. What they found was not just a landscape shaped by fire and ice, but a kind of calm in the chaos. A stillness that made the wind and snow feel like old companions.

Built for the wild, shaped for life
Crossing glacial tongues and tracing ancient volcanic ridges, they discovered something unexpected: that the more remote the terrain, the more connected they felt. "It was never about conquering the landscape," Metin added. "It was about moving through it together." From Reykjavik to Skaftafell and beyond, their journey wasn’t just about the destination — it was a story written one step at a time. Vandra came with them, but more importantly, helped keep the adventure theirs.

Moving through contrasts
The trip was as unpredictable as Iceland itself. One moment under blue skies, the next in sideways rain. What remained constant was their pace — and their gear. The Vandra™ Glacier kept their equipment protected through each shift, with its weatherproof outer, ergonomic frame, and modular compartments allowing them to adjust on the go.
